It was great to introduce our two job-share receptionists to Robyn’s Getting a Grip on The Paper War text. It became a catalyst for us to improve our administration processes and review our reception area.
We chose to give responsibility to the newer of the receptionists who had recently joined the team, for working through the issues, and implementing Robyn’s recommendations. As a result, instead of just adapting to her colleague’s already existing systems, she was able to drive and influence improvements. This gave her a chance to be involved and take ownership.
